[00:00.20]The Future|[00:02.02] I sometimes wonder what life will be like in the future.|[00:05.00] Life has changed so much in just the past few years.|[00:08.36] I'm sure that there are still big changes that are coming.|[00:11.72] Do you think we'll still drive cars?|[00:14.64] Maybe we'll get into computerized vehicles|[00:16.82] that we won't have to drive.|[00:18.63] We'll just push a few buttons, and the vehicles|[00:20.81] will take us to wherever we have to go.|[00:23.17] Maybe there won't be roads.|[00:24.66] We might just fly through space to get|[00:26.15] where we want to go.|[00:27.71] Instead of telephones, we'll just use our computers.|[00:30.95] We'll be able to see each other when we talk.|[00:33.31] That type of thing is already happening.|[00:35.92] Maybe we won't have to cook our meals.|[00:38.41] We might be able to push buttons|[00:39.84] to order whatever we want.|[00:41.77] A nice roast beef dinner, or an ice cream sundae,|[00:44.57] might just pop out of a machine.|[00:46.50] It would be nice to have a robot to clean the house for you.|[00:49.11] In the past few years,|[00:50.85] computers have been extremely important.|[00:53.46] People used to write to each other through the mail.|[00:55.89] Now, people communicate so much more frequently|[00:58.19] through E-mail.|[00:59.43] Most of my friends own computers.|[01:01.37] If we had all of these things to do the work for us,|[01:04.22] what would we do?|[01:05.53] We would still need people to program the computers.|[01:08.27] We could spend more time being creative,|[01:10.44] rather than doing everyday chores.|[01:13.00] The future holds many surprises.|[01:16.04] I'm sure that technology will become|[01:17.85] even more and more amazing.|[01:20.03] When my parents were young,|[01:21.27] they had never even seen a color television.|[01:24.07] Nobody owned a computer.|[01:25.93] It doesn't take long for things to change a lot.|[01:28.18] Who knows what amazing things are in store for us?
