[00:00.46]A Funny Thing Happened on the way to School|[00:04.32] Last Friday it was very windy.|[00:06.56] I was walking down the street with my friend John.|[00:09.55] We were having a difficult time walking against the wind.|[00:13.09] The wind was pushing against us,|[00:15.21] and we felt the force of it pressing against us.|[00:18.01] We even had a hard time breathing.|[00:20.62] We were walking slowly.|[00:22.30] We watched the leaves|[00:24.23] as they danced and twirled in the wind.|[00:26.53] We watched a plastic bag as it flew by us.|[00:29.26] We saw a little boy|[00:30.69] whose baseball cap flew right off his head.|[00:33.62] His cap flew along the sidewalk, and he had to chase it.|[00:37.60] He finally caught it,|[00:38.78] and he held it in his hands tightly after he got it back.|[00:42.45] The trees were swaying frantically.|[00:45.25] Their branches swished and waved in the wild wind.|[00:48.42] John and I were hit by flying bits of paper and leaves.|[00:53.47] We laughed when a garbage can lid rolled along|[00:56.64] and hit John in the leg.|[00:58.57] We saw another garbage can rolling along the road|[01:01.92] as if it was alive.|[01:03.54] Everything was moving because of the wind.|[01:06.41] Then, the funniest thing happened.|[01:09.14] I wasn't paying any attention,|[01:10.95] and a paper bag came flying up the street toward us.|[01:15.05] It hit me right in the face and covered my whole face.|[01:19.53] At first, I didn't know what had happened.|[01:22.45] I was blinded.|[01:23.82] I couldn't see where I was going.|[01:25.75] I stopped and held out my hands.|[01:28.24] When I stopped, the bag fell off my face.|[01:31.54] I looked at John.|[01:33.49] He was laughing very hard.|[01:35.48] He was laughing so hard|[01:37.09] that tears were rolling down his cheeks.|[01:40.08] He said that I looked very funny|[01:42.26] with the brown paper bag stuck to my face.|[01:45.18] I started to laugh too.|[01:46.86] We laughed about it all the way to school.|[01:49.35] John said that he wished he had a camera.|[01:52.46] He would have taken a picture of me|[01:54.45] with the bag on my face.
