[00:00.20]Look for the Beauty|[00:03.38] I have learned that things don't always go the way|[00:06.31] that they were planned.|[00:07.74] If something doesn't happen the way that I want it to,|[00:10.72] I try to make the best of the situation.|[00:13.34] I always try to find something good|[00:14.95] in everything that happens.|[00:16.64] Last year, I broke my ankle|[00:18.75] when I was walking on an icy sidewalk.|[00:21.24] At first, I was very upset.|[00:23.10] I was missing school, and there was a party|[00:25.41] that I wanted to go to.|[00:26.96] I couldn't do very much of anything.|[00:28.76] My ankle was very sore.|[00:30.50] I stayed home, and I read a book.|[00:32.31] It was an excellent book,|[00:34.12] and one that I probably would not have had time|[00:36.42] to read under normal circumstances.|[00:38.59] My friends brought my homework to my house,|[00:40.71] and we had some really nice visits|[00:42.32] while they were here.|[00:43.76] I had to accept the fact|[00:45.56] that I couldn't go anywhere on my broken ankle,|[00:47.43] so I made the best of a bad situation.|[00:50.04] Once, I lost my way when I was out camping.|[00:53.65] I ended up in a very large field.|[00:55.57] I was afraid that nobody would find me,|[00:57.44] but I calmed myself down and took time to examine|[00:59.68] all the interesting wildflowers in the field.|[01:02.29] My family did find me.|[01:03.97] They were surprised at how calm I was.|[01:05.84] I have learned that there is something valuable|[01:08.33] inside every adventure|[01:09.76] and something beautiful inside every person.|[01:12.49] We had a new boy who came into our class.|[01:15.05] His clothes weren't in style,|[01:16.48] and he was not particularly handsome.|[01:18.72] Some of the boys and girls made fun of him.|[01:20.64] Sometimes, people can be really cruel.|[01:23.26] He seemed to handle it all right,|[01:24.88] but inside, I knew that it must hurt.|[01:27.24] Some of my friends and I invited him out with us.|[01:30.22] We found out that he had a terrific sense of humor,|[01:33.15] and he is probably one of the nicest people|[01:35.64] that I have ever met.|[01:37.00] He has since become one of my best friends.|[01:39.62] It makes me ashamed when someone|[01:41.55] that I know judges someone by how they look.|[01:44.10] It isn't fair to do that.|[01:45.46] You'll find that something good comes out|[01:48.26] of almost every situation.|[01:50.32] You'll find something good about almost everyone|[01:52.00] that you meet if you look hard enough.|[01:54.36] If something doesn't work out the way you planned it,|[01:57.10] just make the best of the situation.|[01:59.71] Look for the beauty in everything.
