[00:00.20]I Need Glasses|[00:02.25]
I have been having trouble
seeing the blackboard.|[00:05.05]
Everything is blurry.|[00:07.11]
I keep getting headaches.|[00:09.53]
I told my mother about it,|[00:11.34]
and she made an appointment
with the optometrist.|[00:14.45]
I went to a place where
they made me read words|[00:17.68]
and letters on a chart.|[00:19.55]
Some of the words were big,|[00:21.10]
and some were very small.|[00:24.03]
I tried to read everything,|[00:26.02]
but sometimes I couldn't
see some of the small letters.|[00:29.50]
The optometrist would
cover one of my eyes|[00:32.36]
while I read the chart.|[00:34.79]
Then, she would
cover my other eye.|[00:37.59]
She even put some
drops in my eyes.|[00:40.51]
I asked the optometrist if I
had passed or failed the test.|[00:45.49]
She laughed, and said
that it wasn't the kind of test|[00:49.35]
that you passed or failed.|[00:51.09]
She was just trying to
find out if I needed glasses.|[00:54.88]
I did need glasses.|[00:57.30]
My mother and I looked around.|[00:59.35]
There were many pairs of frames.|[01:01.59]
I wanted something
that was in style.|[01:04.20]
I tried on many pairs of frames.|[01:06.82]
Some of them looked good on me,|[01:08.68]
and some of them
looked really funny on me.|[01:11.62]
I finally chose a frame
that was my favorite.|[01:14.85]
I gave them to a lady who
did some measurements.|[01:18.09]
She told me to come back
on Friday to get my glasses.|[01:21.82]
On Friday, I got my glasses.|[01:24.43]
My friends liked them.|[01:25.99]
They said I looked
smart in my glasses.|[01:28.60]
I wore them to school on Monday,|[01:31.15]
and I was able to see
the blackboard clearly.|[01:34.45]
I didn't realize how much
I hadn't been able to see.|[01:38.12]
Now I don't get
headaches anymore.|[01:41.10]
I'm glad that I have my glasses.|[01:44.15]
Everything is a lot clearer now.
