[00:00.10]Music|[00:02.56] A song comes on the radio.|[00:04.68] My lips start to move, singing along.|[00:06.97] My fingers start to snap; my feet begin to tap.|[00:09.90] The music sinks deep into my soul.|[00:12.14] I listen to the music as it fills my brain,|[00:14.81] and I remember when I used to sing.|[00:16.87] I sang in front of huge crowds.|[00:18.86] I loved it when they watched me|[00:20.78] and clapped for me when I was finished.|[00:22.40] Letting out my feelings when I was sad, mad, happy,|[00:26.07] or glad was when I would sing.|[00:28.07] I sang in the shower; I sang in the rain; I sang in church;|[00:31.92] I sang walking down the street!|[00:33.85] Music has always been a big part of my life.|[00:36.77] It seems like I was a baby|[00:38.33] when I started playing the piano!|[00:40.13] I would sit on my sister's lap while she played the piano,|[00:43.00] and I would bang on the keys.|[00:44.80] I remember sitting beside her and learning how to sing.|[00:47.60] I sang my little lungs out!|[00:49.59] As I grew, I listened to other singers on tapes,|[00:52.70] the radio and C.D.s.|[00:54.25] I took those things that I heard from different singers|[00:56.80] and made myself sound like them.|[00:58.79] Soon, I could take what I had heard all my life|[01:00.91] and make it into my own sound.|[01:02.77] I have always liked singing jazz and blues.|[01:05.51] I don't listen to jazz and blues a lot, however.|[01:08.31] I listen to pop, rock, classical and some country.|[01:11.80] As you can see, I like many types of music.|[01:14.60] I have seen musicals, too,|[01:16.46] like Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables.|[01:19.14] Those musicals were amazing.|[01:21.13] There were such bright costumes|[01:22.93] and stage sets, not to mention|[01:24.74] the wonderful songs and singing.|[01:26.41] Music has been on this earth since the beginning of time,|[01:29.65] and it touches every one in a different way.|[01:31.83] I know it has not only touched me,|[01:33.69] but is a big part of my very being!
