[00:00.10]Halloween (1)|[00:02.50] Ghosts, goblins, witches, princes and princesses,|[00:06.61] kings, queens, skeletons!|[00:08.91] So may of these "things" are walking down my street.|[00:12.58] "Oh, no! They are coming to my door!"|[00:15.87] The doorbell chimes, and I slowly open the door.|[00:19.55] There standing on my front porch,|[00:21.97] is a little ghost and a cute little witch.|[00:25.14] They hold up a bag and say, "trick or treat."|[00:28.75] I put candy into their bags and they smile and say,|[00:32.61] "Thank you."|[00:33.54] Every October 31 is Halloween.|[00:37.02] That is when children dress up as different things|[00:39.83] (not just funny people, but things like animals|[00:42.50] or fruits or vegetables, etc).|[00:44.93] They go from door to door and get different candies|[00:47.60] or little toys from the people in the houses.|[00:50.21] Some children, who are not very nice,|[00:52.70] will do naughty things to houses|[00:54.63] where people are not home,|[00:56.13] like throwing eggs at their windows.|[00:58.12] I think that is bad.|[01:00.04] Sometimes people decorate their houses for this day.|[01:03.59] Some of the houses can be pretty scary.|[01:06.33] They'll have scary noises coming from a tape recorder, too.|[01:10.49] However, it's only for a few days out of the year,|[01:13.66] so we may as well have fun with it.|[01:16.15] This year my brother is dressing up as a skeleton,|[01:19.33] and I'm dressing up as a bride.|[01:21.69] I am wearing my mom's wedding dress.|[01:24.30] It is fun dressing up in costumes|[01:26.54] and putting on lots of makeup.|[01:28.97] Sometimes our friends don't even know who we really are!|[01:32.52] The best part of Halloween is the candy, of course.|[01:37.36] I once got an entire garbage bag full of candy.|[01:41.78] Mom and Dad took it away because I was eating too much.|[01:46.07] Mom gave me a piece of candy every day, though.|[01:49.50] If you eat too much candy, you can get a stomach ache.|[01:53.48] You need to remember to brush your teeth often, too,|[01:56.71] so you don't get cavities.|[01:58.52] Still, that candy sure does taste good!|[02:02.37] Well, it's time to go "trick or treating."|[02:04.98] So off I go, door to door, getting yummy candy|[02:08.90] and hearing people say, "Oh, aren't you pretty!"
